# Pipeline

> Track government contract pursuits in Civic AI — organize opportunities, stages, and team workflow from discovery to submission.

The pipeline turns search results into managed pursuits. Instead of spreadsheets and inbox flags, track what you are bidding, who owns it, and where each opportunity sits in your capture process.

## Add a pursuit

  <Step title="Add to pipeline">
    From the opportunity detail view, add it to your pipeline with stage, owner, and notes.

  <Step title="Track deadlines">
    Monitor response dates alongside your internal milestones (kickoff, pink team, final submission).

## Suggested pipeline stages

| Stage          | Description                               |
| -------------- | ----------------------------------------- |
| **Identified** | Worth a look; not yet qualified           |
| **Qualified**  | Fit confirmed; go/no-go passed            |
| **Capture**    | Active shaping, teaming, customer contact |
| **Proposal**   | Writing and pricing in progress           |
| **Submitted**  | Awaiting award decision                   |
| **Won / Lost** | Closed with outcome recorded              |

Adapt stages to your team's process — the goal is a single source of truth everyone checks weekly.

## Pipeline + alerts together

Use **alerts** for inbound discovery and **pipeline** for outbound discipline:

1. Alert fires on a new match
2. Capture lead qualifies in 24–48 hours
3. Qualified pursuits live in pipeline until award
